Born and lived in Yorkshire for the first eighteen years of my life. Did my higher education in London. Lived in Northumberland for two years and in the city of Granada in Spain for one year and have lived in Edinburgh ever since. For work I have always been involved in education.
Writing has always been a necessity. A part of my persona depends on it. There has never been a period of my life when I have not been working at a novel or short story except when I was faced with the challenge of ME, an illness that lasted over ten years. Thankfully I have been ME free now for over 15 months.
My first novel published on KIndle was 'THE SCHEME OF ANGELS,' a crime thriller set in Edinburgh with Detective Inspector George Corbett as its central character. It is on Kindle and is in paperback.
The next was 'MEN OF SNOW,' a tragic story set first in World War Two and in the1980s, also on Kindle and now in paperback.
'THREE WAYS OF DYING,' was my third publication, another DI George Corbett thriller.
DAY DOG is a story set in the 1960s of a working class boy who gets a scholarship to one of the most expensive schools in the North of England, on Kindle and in paperback.
My most recent book is the historical novel 'ROAD TO RIBBLEHEAD.'The novel is now available on Kindle and is in paperback. It is about the people involved in the 1870s with the building of Ribblehead viaduct and Blea Moor tunnel on the famous Settle to Carlisle railway line
